I wish you knew

How much I did love you

How I held you to my heart

How much I suffered, sacrificed

To be all yours

I wish you could remember

How much we had together

The Dreams, the struggles, the little successes

Remember all you promised me

While I thought we were laying foundations of our empire

You had promised me

Sworn that you were different

That you’ll be at my beck and call

That you wouldn’t break me

Just like the others had

How could I have missed the lines

Letting down my guard so easily

I bet you meant your promise

Not just to break me

But to shatter me, probably crush my soul
