My ladder

                                 My Ladder

So taller it is above the Himalayas

Yet not covered by the earth’s valleys

My treasure so costly to trade

My records of accomplished tasks smile

Questions sum in wonder

Of how come and how manage

But the truth only I can handle

A self-made ladder I did over the years

I exchanged continuous study for sleep

Polished and shined it like diamond

I fear no fall each height I go

Because it is as strong as zuma

I’ve learnt to handle pressure and pain

Fear never dares inviting me for war

For my heart has already spelt victory

The ladder? Come my heart teaches for free
