One Day

One day I shall join
I call her billion beautiful she is
A color mixed of the Asian breed
This Christmas knew she’d be no more

One day I shall join
It was sometime busy underwater
The Salmon’s tasty flavor I bid
Lost in water my belly had it

One day I shall join
The morning flower withers by dawn
The saw calls and the iroko goes down
Burning in fire for heat and coal

One day I shall join
The Sojourner softly says its up to time
Yet unknown but when it is right
A sleep so sick I dread to fall.
