Just of recent WhatsApp made a provision for eight persons possible video call participation and the company is working on an expansion that would accommodate 50 participants on a video call to take on Zoom.
This brilliant development is in tune to its committed user satisfaction strides. According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp Web will soon allow users to move video calls to the newly announced Messenger Rooms. Don’t dwell in ignorance, Messenger Rooms offers similar Zoom experience whereby the organizer share links with participants for an ongoing video call. As the feature gains users ’acquittance in steps, the ability of users moving WhatsApp group calls to Facebook Messenger in the future, promised easy.
WhatsApp plans to introduce a Messenger Rooms shortcut to WhatsApp Web, Android iOS and android apps. Group participants can through this shortcut, create a Messenger Room with a custom link that could be used to invite interested participants to the ongoing call. While users can do this directly from Facebook, the shortcut would allow existing WhatsApp groups to move conversations to Messenger without interruptions.
The feature is gradually developed to WhatsApp Beta for Android and will be available for iOS and Web as well. Many may wonder if WhatsApp plans to reduce the participant limit on Android and iOS judging by how difficult it seems to accommodate 50 people on a small screen of smartphone.
